After five seasons, it’s hard to pick the most shocking moments from Empire. The show is filled with drama and every character is constantly going through something absolutely crazy. Whether it’s murder, infidelity, stealing, backstabbing, or something in between, there’s always something going on with the Lyon crew.

Here’s a list of the top five most shocking moments of all time on Empire. Let’s see if your picks match with our list!

Lucious Murders Bunkie
Empire really started off on a crazy note when Lucious (Terrence Howard) murdered his best friend and Cookie’s (Taraji P. Henson) cousin, Bunkie, in the first episode of the first season. The moment really showed fans Lucious will go to any lengths to get what he wants.

Rhonda’s Death
Fans were left completely shocked after Andre’s (Trai Byers) wife died back in Season 3. Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) was fighting with Anika (Grace Byers) and was pushed over the balcony. Not only did this death leave Andre reeling, but fans were also surprised.

Lucious Isn’t Sick
In the first season, fans learn that Lucious has been diagnosed with ALS. He keeps his diagnosis a secret, as he doesn’t want it to affect his business. But, in a strange and shocking twist, fans later find out Lucious doesn’t have ALS. In fact, he just has myasthenia gravis, which is treatable and not fatal.

Jamal Takes a Bullet
Though Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and his father have always had a contentious relationship, he actually takes a bullet for Lucious in Season 2. Jamal was actually shot by Freda, who was trying to take down Lucious and was left in critical condition. However, he was able to make a full comeback.

Lucious Is the Father!
It was definitely shocking when Olivia Lyon showed up in Season 1 and told Jamal he was the father of her daughter, Lola. Though he was shocked, Jamal stepped up and decided to take care of Lola. However, Lucious later reveals he’s the father of Lola, not Jamal! But, in Season 2, we find out neither is actually the girl’s father.
