It’s fair to say that some of the drama that is shown on reality shows is scripted or perhaps “encouraged,” but now cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are reportedly facing a crisis that is very, well, real!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Test Positive
TMZ is reporting that three of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have contracted COVID-19, which has led the Bravo TV series to hit the pause button on production.
Sources tell the entertainment website that Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton, and Dorit Kemsley have all tested positive for COVID-19. They’re all recovering at home and so far there are no reports of any serious symptoms developing.
RHOBH began shooting its latest season at the end of October. There were safety protocols in place, which included temperature checks and testing. However, the virus ended up affecting the show.
Reportedly, the trio of housewives did not contract the virus on set. Fortunately, all three are in the end stages of the virus and are expected to be all right.
Recently, Richards posted on Instagram support for restaurant owners and workers who have been greatly affected by COVID-19. “Let’s help each other out 🙏❤️,” Richards wrote, adding a link to Save Restaurants, which allows support for the restaurant industry.
RHOBH debuted on October 14, 2010, on Bravo. The reality series reveals the personal and professional lives of women in Beverly Hills. In addition to Richards and Kemsley, the show’s cast includes Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie, Days of our Lives), Erika Girardi, Garcelle Beauvais, and Crystal Kung Minkoff. Hilton and Sutton Strucke also appear on the show.
Past cast members include some familiar faces to the soap world including Eileen Davidson (ex-Kristen/ex-Susan, et. al., DAYS; Ashley, The Young and the Restless) and Denise Richards (Shauna, The Bold and the Beautiful); Richards, who recently exited the reality show may have chosen the right time to make her departure! Entertainment Hub wishes everyone at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills a continued and speedy recovery and a successful season!
