Way back in Season 1 of The Handmaid’s Tale, June (Elisabeth Moss) was ripped apart from her family, which included her husband, Luke, and her daughter, Hannah (Jordana Blake).

While Hannah is taken to live with another family in Gilead, Luke (O.T. Fagbenle) ultimately escapes to Canada. Though he’s safe, he has no idea if his wife and daughter are OK and not knowing is taking its toll.
