Colton Underwood ‘Was Shocked’ After This Frontrunner Dumped Him!

Colton Underwood was absolutely shocked during last night’s episode of The Bachelor when frontrunner Cassie Randolph decided to leave the competition. Though it seemed like she was going to be the one, the 23-year-old realized she wasn’t in love with the 27-year-old.

Needless to say, Underwood was completely shocked. Not only was he visibly emotional, but he also decided to jump the fence and run away following her departure.

“I was shocked. I had no idea it was coming,” he told People.

“It was right back into the trap of loving somebody who wasn’t quite there with me,” he explained, referencing his season on The Bachelorette with Becca Kufrin.

“It was very hard for me to hear.”

Though a few contestants warned Underwood about Randolph not being ready to settle down and get engaged, he knew he had to trust his heart.

“I don’t get to see what’s happening when I’m not in the room. When I’m in that relationship, it’s based off my feelings and my gut and my heart,” he said.

“These women are entitled to their own opinions and I respect that, but they’re not in that relationship.”

He continued, “I just didn’t know where Cassie was at and I tried to get those answers. In my opinion, there were no red flags.”

Despite being heartbroken, Underwood knows he has to keep going on in pursuit of love. In fact, his dad even gets involved.

“You’ll see a very important conversation I have with Chris Harrison and with my dad, that plays an important role moving forward. It’s definitely emotional.”
