The Bachelorette’s Chris Randone Defends His Sister Against Homophobic Comment

The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise star Chris Randone was considered a bit of a villain during his time on television, but he is proving once and for all that he really has a heart of gold.

As many Bachelor Nation fans will remember, Chris — aka the Goose — got engaged to Krystal Nielsen on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise this year. As to be expected, Chris has shared a lot of photos of Krystal on social media, but one he posted of his fiancée with his mom and sisters received a negative comment from a hater.

In fact, Chris took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 2, to defend his sister – who is an open lesbian – against the homophobic comment.

“I’m a bit bothered and disappointed by a comment I saw today on an Instagram photo of my family [and] fiancée,” he wrote.

“Someone referenced my little sister as ‘that girl is gay as f—k.’ That girl is my sweet 17-year-old sister who had the courage to come out and share her identity to her family at a young age. That girl represents gender equality,” he shared.

“That girl helps show that the LGBT community needs more advocates that can share the importance of not making fun of or discriminating against someone because of their gender preference with relationships. That girl is @giapintado_ and she is [an] amazing woman, my sister, and a lesbian that I love dearly.”

He continued, “As a family we’re very proud of @giapintado_. She will and always will have our support. We love you. Never be scared to share how you feel when it comes to liking the same gender.”

“It’s unfortunate the times we live in where [disgusting] and inappropriate things are said without realization of how hurt someone can become from these words.”

We are so proud of Chris for standing up for his sister and shutting down homophobia.
