The acting world was rocked by the death of Michael K. Williams. The actor was found dead in his home on September 6, 2021. Best known for his role as Omar Little in The Wire (a role once hailed as TV’s greatest character). Other credits include Boardwalk Empire, When They See Us, Lovecraft Country, and 12 Years a Slave. He passed away at 54 years old.
TMZ reported the death of Tiger King zoo keeper Erik Cowie. A family friend found the Netflix star face down in his bedroom on Friday, September 3. No cause of death is known at this time. Cowie was 53 years old.
EW announced the death of Emmy-winner Michael Constantine. The famed actor passed away in his home on August 31. The 94-year-old stole hearts when he played the Windex-toting Gus Portokalos in the hit film My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He also took starring roles in Quincey M.E., Hey, Landlord, and The Untouchables.
Police Academy actor Art Metrano died at the age of 84 on Wednesday, September 8. His son, Harry, announced the death to the public. Metrano became a household name in the early 1970s during a spoof skit on The Late Show with Johnny Carson and went on to have a career spanning five decades.
