Entertainment News: Love and Family

Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) is a married man! He and IsaBeall Quella tied the knot after an unintentionally long six-year engagement. The couple planned four other weddings dates which were canceled due to natural disasters and the pandemic.

Nicky Hilton is expecting baby number three. She and her husband, James Rothschild share children Lily Grace Victoria and Theodora Marilyn.

New parents Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are making their family officially official. She’s been sporting an engagement ring and it looks like these two are on the road to a happily-ever-after.

Gold Star Accomplishments

Amy Schneider rose up in the Jeopardy! ranks this week and is now holds the title for the second-most consecutive wins. Her victory was short-lived. After a 40-game winning streak, Schneider lost to Chicago librarian Rhone Talsma.

Crime and Punishment

Chris Brown is back in the media spotlight as he faces a rape allegation. According to TMZ, an unnamed woman claims he drugged and attacked her during a yacht party in Miami.

Nicki Minaj and her husband are being sued over a violent attack. A security guard claims Kenneth Petty punched him during an altercation back in 2019.

Entertainment News: Illness and Injury

Sir Elton John is taking a break from touring after testing positive for Covid. The legendary music icon assures fans his symptoms are mild and he is fully updated on his vaccinations. He is hoping to be back on stage after the virus runs its course.

Celebrity Scandals

Speaking of postponing shows, Adele is under fire after her claims she shut down her Vegas residency due to a Covid outbreak. Staffers are saying while the Covid claims may have merit, the songstress really stepped back due to her over-the-top demands and set disputes. TMZ has the full story.

On January 21, Arnold Schwarzenegger was involved in a car crash. He is fine and the person he hit is also doing well. As it turns out, the other driver was a huge fan and now has quite the tale to tell.

The Spears Family drama continues, this time with Jamie Spears’s lawyers demanding Britney be deposed in his case. He is accused of squandering upwards of $6 million during his time as his daughter’s conservator. Jamie is also demanding Britney continue paying his legal fees.

Casting About

Josh Duhamel is joining the Mighty Ducks franchise. The actor is stepping in for season 2 and taking the place of Emilio Estevez. He will be playing the role of Gavin Cole.

After 11 years, Fredrik Eklund is leaving Million Dollar Listing. The Bravo star is stepping away from the show to concentrate on new projects and had nothing but good things to say about his time on air.

Ivory Aquino is heading the DC Universe. She is breaking barriers as the first-ever trans character to appear in a live-action DC Comics movie. Watch for her to take on the role of Alysia Yeoh in Batgirl.

Dirty Dancing is getting another revival, this time in the form of a competition show. The Real Dirty Dancing will feature a familiar face, Jane Brucker. She played Lisa Houseman, Baby’s older sister, in the original film.

The View is going to look familiar to veteran viewers of the show as three familiar faces are checking back into the ABC news/talk show. Reclaiming their seats are Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The ladies will return for special episodes during the show’s 25th season.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Michael Madsen and his family are in mourning this week after the tragic loss of his son, Hudson. The 26-year-old took his own life. His death was reported on January 26.

Vachik Mangassarian died on January 25 at 78 years old. The actor started his career in 1978 and continued taking roles up to 2019. He is best known for playing Morteza Ramazani in The Stoning of Soraya M. and Vladimir Desinovish in Remington Steele.

Peter Robbins, 65, the original voice of Charlie Brown, passed away this month. The famed Peanuts personality died by suicide after a struggle with bipolar disorder.

Morgan Stevens was found dead in his home this week. The Melrose Place actor was 70 years old and believed to have died from natural causes. MP fans will remember him as Nick Diamond. He also rose to fame as Erin Walton’s husband, Paul Northridge on The Waltons as well as three of the spin-off movies. He also appeared in the mini-series and TV series Bare Essence, playing two different roles.
