Amber Tamblyn and David Cross have quietly have one of the most successful relationships in Hollywood. Not only have they been together for 11 years, but they’ve also been open about working through their differences and not always seeing eye-to-eye.

It’s not easy to keep a relationship going in Hollywood but these two have managed to do it despite their almost 20-year age difference. From how they officially met to welcoming their first child, find out more about this celebrity romance.

How Did Amber Tamblyn and David Cross Meet?

Cross and Tamblyn knew of each other from the Hollywood scene, but they didn’t officially meet until they were both on the same flight from Houston to Louisiana back in 2007. Cross noticed Tamblyn staring at him, so he asked to switch seats so they could sit next to each other. They spent the entire flight making fun of the SkyMall catalog and have been together ever since.

A Web of Love
Following their initial meeting in the air, Cross and Tamblyn shared their first kiss while the Spider-Man TV show theme song was playing in the background… “Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can.” Spider-Man really knows how to set the mood!

Outdoor Wedding
After four years of dating, the pair got engaged in 2011. They tied the knot in 2012 in an outdoor wedding in front of their family and friends. Amber Tamblyn wore a gorgeous yellow dress and arrived at the ceremony via a canoe. The wedding was attended by Tamblyn’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars, Blake Lively, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel, as well as other celebrities including Amy Poehler.

Political Rift

Though Cross and Tamblyn’s marriage is still going strong, their relationship suffered during the 2016 election. In an interview with Vanyaland, Cross revealed his support of Bernie Sanders while Tamblyn supported Hillary Clinton. Though it caused a “fair rift” in their marriage, they obviously managed to work through it.
