Bravo is shaking up the Real Housewives franchises. RHONJ is on pause, RHORI is arriving, and the other franchises are moving things around. RHONY and RHOBH have the latest news.
One Less Apple
Brynn Whitfield had a tumultuous second season on RHONY. She and fellow castmate Ubah Hassan had one of the most emotional blow-ups ever seen in Housewives’ history. After the reunion, it was rumored that Brynn would be leaving the show, but it was confirmed on Monday, June 9th.
“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to walk away from reality TV. For now,” she wrote in a statement posted on her Instagram Stories.
“The Real Housewives of New York City will always be one of the most fun, chaotic, and magical chapters of my life. It was the honor of a lifetime to help reboot such an iconic franchise,” she told her followers. “From day one, I’ve believed RHONY is a fan’s show — we’re just temporary custodians of something that truly belongs to the viewers.”
She went on to explain that she is “just getting started.” Brynn has a book coming out and hosts her podcast, Please See Below. She has also co-founded the dating app “Happy.”
There is no word yet if there will be a new Apple holder joining Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Racquel Chevremont, but there are rumors that Summer House‘s Lindsay Hubbard could be a new addition.
One More Diamond
Meanwhile, there is also news over at RHOBH. Season 15 will have a new face in their crowd. Fashion designer Rachel Zoe is joining the sometimes tumultuous cast. The latest housewife is no stranger to Bravo, having previously starred in The Rachel Zoe Project from 2008 to 2013 on the network.
“Here we go again @bravotv !!!✨ I am officially joining #TheRealHousewivesofBeverlyHills and back with my Bravo family. Let’s do this! 💎 #RHOBH,” Zoe wrote on Instagram.
She also posted a video where she said, “It’s been a while and you’ve been asking me to come back to television, and I said when the stars align or it makes sense or I have enough to say to share with all of you, and now is the time. Really excited to be with all of you again, and I hope you are too, so let’s have some fun! Mwah!”
Beverly Hills needed someone new after Garcelle Beauvais walked off the set of the season 14 reunion and quit the show. It will be interesting to see how Rachel gets along with castmates Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Erika Jayne, and Bozoma Saint John.
