Pam Dawber Finally To Join Husband Mark Harmon On His CBS Hit NCIS

NCIS star Mark Harmon and former Mork & Mindy star Pam Dawber tied the knot in 1987, and after 34 years of marriage, the couple is doing something they’ve never done before.

Pam Dawber Joins Mark Harmon On NCIS

According to Entertainment Weekly, Dawber and Harmon will share a TV screen for the first time ever when the actress appears on the 18-year-old CBS procedural.

Dawber will be playing Marcie Warren, described as “a seasoned investigative journalist who uses her savvy wit and down-to-earth people skills to aid in her tireless pursuit of truth.” Sounds like someone who is sure to ruffle Gibbs’ feathers. Her four-episode arc begins on April 6.

The timing for the couple’s team-up is sure to raise some eyebrows as CBS has still not renewed the show for its 19th season and last week’s episode planted the seed for Harmon’s exit when Gibbs turned in his badge and gun.

Harmon’s contract is up at the conclusion of this season, so rumors are swirling that even if the show comes back, the actor might only be in a handful of episodes. The Hollywood Reporter announced that when Harmon was told the show would be canceled if he left, he apparently agreed to come back for some episodes regardless, to keep his NCIS family working.

With only six episodes remaining in the show, how fun would it be to see Harmon and Dawber’s characters find love and ride off in the sunset together?

This isn’t the first time a member of Harmon’s family has been on the show, as his son, Sean played a young Gibbs during flashbacks on a few episodes over the hit show’s many seasons.

Star of stage and screen, Dawber burst to fame on the hit Mork & Mindy and later My Sister Sam. Her last appearance on TV came on the CBS reboot of The Odd Couple in 2016. Two years earlier, she guested on another CBS show, joining her former Mork & Mindy costar, the late Robin Williams, in The Crazy Ones.

It will be fun to see her back on TV and watch the chemistry between the married TV vets. NCIS airs Tuesdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
