Chilly reception? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills sure feels colder this season, even though it was filmed in the summer. Newcomer Bozoma Saint John didn’t feel so welcomed by Kyle Richards. She stands by her opinion to this day.
Irish Exit
On Tuesday’s episode of RHOBH, Dorit Kemsley’s Fourth of July party got frosty. Things went south from the moment the ladies arrived. Sutton Stracke didn’t feel welcomed in Dorit’s home. She stood in the entryway for a good hour until Dorit walked down the stairs. Dorit ignored Sutton and spoke with Kyle Richards instead. Then, Dorit pretended to steal Sutton’s handbag. She joked that Sutton gave to her as a gift.
During the party, Dorit joked about Sutton drinking alcohol. Sutton didn’t take the joke well and called Dorit a “b*tch.” Dorit corrected Sutton and told her not to “call me a b*tch in my home.” Sutton was ready to leave the party. Instead, she hovered near the front door while Kyle and Garcelle Beauvais comforted her.
Erika Jayne and Bozoma Saint John were the last to arrive. They had no idea what they were walking into. Garcelle brought up the time when Bozoma said that Kyle was “cold” to her. She had no idea why that was Garcelle’s business. This moment was brought up on the RHOBH After Show. During that scene, Bozoma defended herself. She wasn’t calling Kyle a “cold-heart b*tch.” She just “didn’t feel like they connected.”
Standing By Her Words
Bozoma’s statement blindsided Kyle. She felt the opposite about their connection. During the RHOBH After Show, Dorit and Bozoma talked about that heated moment. Dorit felt that Kyle was “trying to put Bozoma in the hot seat.” Bozoma wasn’t going to allow that to happen. She felt that Kyle was “distant” and “cold.” She still stands by those comments to this day.
Kyle explained her side of the story. She admitted that it can take her longer to open up to people. “But maybe it does take me longer to open up more, ya know… I guess I haven’t opened up enough to her. Was she expecting more? Bozoma doesn’t understand why Kyle was upset that she spoke the truth. Dorit mentioned the time when Garcelle said something similar about Kyle. In her respective interview with Sutton and Jennifer Tilley, Garcelle shared her first impressions about the RHOBH OG. “I thought Kyle was going to be warmer to me when I first joined the group,” she noted. Jennifer also found it hard to fit in with “this group of women.”
