When Calls The Heart Season 12 Spoilers: Chris McNally Sounds Off on Lucas’ Love Life

When Calls the Heart finally has a premiere date. The show is currently being filmed in Canada. In the meantime, Chris McNally revealed what’s in the future for his character, Lucas. He could finally get his own romantic interest.

Will Lucas Fall in Love?

Hearties would love to see Lucas find happiness. That was the case for Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry), who found love with one another.

Will Lucas find a new love in Season 12? He spoke to Swooon about the new season. He also teased what’s in store for his alter ego. Lucas could finally meet his match.

“Well, there is one of the new characters that’s coming to town who represents a fairly strong opposition to Lucas, and I think within that is a spark of chemistry, and we will see where that goes,” McNally said.

Of course, he can’t share any more details. But he’s excited for the fans’ reaction to Lucas’s storyline. This new woman will enter his life and shake up his world. Elizabeth was previously engaged to Lucas. Even though they didn’t make it down the aisle, McNally feels that Lucas will always love Elizabeth.

“He is coming to terms with it, and he’s at peace with it,” he continued. “Does he wish that it was a different path? Yes, but at the end of the day, he really cares for Elizabeth and wants her to be happy.”

McNally also teased other “fun new characters” coming to Hope Valley. The actor revealed that the series will focus on “some of the younger characters in Hope Valley that are now coming into adulthood.” This is a first for the Hallmark series.

Release Date for WCTH Season 12

Fans are wondering when Hallmark will premiere Season 12. It was renewed earlier this year after increased interest in the drama. Hallmark announced that it will return in 2025.

The official press release reads, “With more stories to tell in Hope Valley, Season 12 will continue with themes about family, community, and, of course, romance as we move further into the 1920s.”
