Kevin McGarry addressed Fiona’s future on When Calls the Heart. Hearties were delighted to see Kayla Wallace return during Season 12. McGarry is Wallace’s real-life husband. He has some ideas about her future on the show.
Will Fiona Return To Hope Valley?
In a new interview with Swooon Magazine, McGarry admitted that Wallace is willing to return to WCTH anytime soon. This might come as a surprise to fans. Wallace currently stars in the drama Landman opposite Billy Bob Thornton. (Speaking of which, find out how Wallace compared Thornton to WCTH star Erin Krakow.)
“She’s made all these great friends on the show as well. She’ll take any opportunity she can to be part of it,” McGarry told Swoon. “And, you know, an opportunity presented itself. She was able to find time in her busy schedule. It was great having her on set. I think she did a great job.”
McGarry teased that Fiona’s departure wasn’t “permanent.” There is an opportunity for the character to return at some point. “I think not only for Kayla and the character Fiona, but we might see a lot of the other characters come back as well.” In the latest episode of WCTH, Fiona revealed that she had to return to San Francisco. She might’ve left her heart there. A man proposed to her, but she was unsure if she was ready to marry him.
How McGarry and Wallace Met
Previously, SoapHub detailed McGarry and Wallace’s relationship timeline. The couple met on the set of the Hallmark romance. McGarry is always happy to have his wife around on the set. He also shared what it was like to meet Wallace on the Hallmark series.
“I owe a lot to When Calls the Heart for not only helping my career and giving me a job and meeting all of my friends but meeting Kayla, meeting my wife, it’s been the most special part of being on that show,” McGarry shared.
It wasn’t love at first sight for Wallace. It took her some time to fall for her co-star. McGarry was immediately smitten, and it’s easy to see why. He had to woo and win her over. The two co-stars became good friends. Then, their relationship became romantic over the years, and they secretly got married.
