ABC wants to move forward with the show that broke records. Over nine million people watched Gerry Turner’s journey to love. The Golden Bachelor already has a production date. 

Season 2 Filming Dates Revealed

There is still speculation over who could become the next Golden Bachelor. Viewers might have to wait until next year for the official announcement. The first filming dates for Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor are scheduled for the summer of 2025. 

Casting is currently underway. ABC aired a commercial during Joan’s season asking participants to enter as the next Golden Bachelor. Per Showbiz Cheatsheet, one of the questions on the application reveals when the second season will start filming. The question asked whether participants had any commitments during June and August 2025. 

Another question asked whether contestants had a valid passport, which means they’ll probably travel abroad. Joan’s season was filmed during the summer of 2024. During the live season finale, Joan revealed that she and Chock got engaged three months ago. This suggests that the final rose ceremony will take place in August 2024. 

Who’s the Next Golden Bachelor?

Many names have been tossed around during Joan’s season. Bachelor Nation fans want Mark Anderson and Pascal Ibgui to lead the second season. Some fans are also rooting for Charles Ling to find the next love of his life. 

ABC hasn’t announced the lead for the next season. The announcement can happen anytime between now and next summer. Joan was announced as the first-ever Golden Bachelorette in May 2024. ABC could still follow this timeline. 

There was a shocking reaction to the announcement. Most fans thought runner-up Leslie Fhima would be the next Golden Bachelorette. She became a fan favorite early on in the show. However, Joan is given a second shot at love after leaving the mansion during Gerry’s season.
