The Talk co-hosts were accused of appearing “checked out” and creating “on-set tension.” They’re putting a rest to the rumors. In a new interview, they shared their thoughts about the show’s final taping. They also teased the next chapter in their lives.
There has been talk about drama on the set of The Talk. Insiders claimed the co-hosts iced out Sheryl Underwood. All five co-hosts got together for a joint interview with Us Weekly. Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Natalie Morales, and Sheryl Underwood are already mourning the loss of the daytime talk show.
The final episode tapes on Friday, December 20. In the meantime, the co-hosts reflected back at their best moments. They claimed they get along despite what the tabloids suggest. (Find out more about the rumors that had SoapHub readers buzzing.) “We have, and we had such a great chemistry,” Natalie told Us weekly backstage at the show. “I think it always boils down to a team around you and the chemistry, and we all brought something so unique and different. I think everybody has such a unique background.”
Amanda shared she’s going to need extra boxes of tissues. She noted that everyone is going to be “emotional” on Friday. The countdown was already on earlier this month when the program ran “montages” of their best moments. “Montages always get me. I think each day is going to be a hard one,” Amanda added.
The television personalities will continue their group chat long after the show ends. They also shared what’s next in their lives. Amanda will navigate the health and fitness space. Natalie will continue to work for CBS on CBS Mornings, 48 Hours, and other news programs. Jerry wants to get into scriptwriting. Sheryl joked that she wants to take some of the set’s holiday decor. Akbar didn’t share his next move, but it’s possible he could make a return to sports in some form.
