Star-Studded Celebrity Entertainment News Wrap For November 12

This week has brought triumph and tears to some of your favorite celebrities. We’ve gathered some of the top entertainment news stories from November 6 – 12, 2022, to keep you updated on all the celebrity happenings.

Entertainment News: Love & Family

Cher made headlines this week when she went public about her new relationship. The 76-year-old Icon is dating 36-year-old music producer Alexander Edwards. Cher is quoted as saying “love doesn’t know math.”

ABC News reporter Dr. Jennifer Ashton is a married woman. She wed television producer Tom Werner on November 5th in New York City.

Rebel Wilson stunned the world with a surprise baby announcement. The comedian became a mother and showed off her baby to the world. Royce Lillian was born on November 7th via a surrogate.

Abby De La Rosa confirmed Nick Cannon is the father of her third baby. She announced her pregnancy in June but kept the paternity news out of the media. This comes just weeks after Alyssa Scott admitted Nick is the father of her child too. This will be Cannon’s 12th child and their third together.

Sorry ladies, Chris Evans is officially off the market. The 41-year-old was just named People Magazine’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive and lucky lady actress Alba Baptista gets him all to herself.

Illness and Injury

Duran Duran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week, but one of its members was not present. The bandmates announced Andy Taylor is battling stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer.

Harry Styles disappointed fans by canceling three concerts this week. However, it was for a good reason. The famed singer came down with the flu. This marks the first time Harry has ever canceled a show.

Entertainment News: Celebrity Scandals & Hot Topics

A California woman is going after Warren Beatty. She filed court papers this week alleging the actor coerced her into having sex with him when she was a teenager in 1973. Beatty denies the accusations.

There is a bit of a shake-up behind the scenes of Saturday Night Live. The writing staff is staging a boycott over plans for Dave Chappelle to host on November 12. So far, none of the actors are stepping away.

Casting & Changes

A Million Little Pieces will end with season 5. The ABC drama set a premiere date for February 8th for their farewell episodes that will wrap up all the drama for Jon’s friends.

This Is Us stars Chrissy Metz and Mandy Moore have each found new primetime homes. Chrissy is set to headline James Patterson’s Help Me Rhonda while Mandy will star in Hulu’s Twin Flames.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Rapper Gloria Rodriguez, AKA Hurricane G, died on November 7th. The “Somebody Else” singer lost her battle with lung cancer. During her lifetime she made history when she first came on the rap scene as Hit Squad’s first female artist. She was 52 years old.

Legendary British actor Leslie Phillips passed away on November 8th. Famed for his roles in Carry On comedies and as the voice of the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter, he was also named a Commander of the British Empire in 2008 by Queen Elizabeth. He was 98 years old.

November 8th also marked the death of Alabama’s cofounder, Jeff Cook. The Grammy award-winning guitarist died in his home surrounded by friends and family after suffering from Parkinson’s disease. He was 73 years old.

Also on November 8th came the news Nazareth’s Dan McCafferty passing away. The iconic frontman brought songs like Love Hurts and Hair of the Dog to life as the band shot to fame. He was 76 years old.

Keith Levene, the founding member of The Clash, passed away at 65 on November 11 from liver cancer. The innovative guitarist went on to join Public Image Ltd with John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten).

News came on November 9th of the death of Gal Costa. The iconic songstress was the voice of Brazil’s Tropicália movement in the late 60s and put the style of music on the map. Gal was 77 years old.

Comedy genius Gallagher passed away on November 11th. The legendary funny man died peacefully in Palm Springs while in hospice care after suffering multiple organ failures. He was 76 years old.

Iconic voice actor Kevin Conroy, who is famously known as the voice of Batman in several animated series died on November 11th. He first joined the franchise in 1992 and voiced the character until his death, including two Batman projects slated to air next year. He was 66 years old.

Merhan Karimi Nasseri, an Iranian man who lived for 18 years in the Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport and inspired the Steven Spielberg film The Terminal, died at the airport on November 12. In 2006, Nasseri was hospitalized due to a medical emergency and released to various charity agencies but had returned to live in the airport recently. He was thought to be 80 years old.
