Entertainment News: Love and Family

Former Bachelor contestant Tia Booth is expecting her first baby. She and fiancé, Taylor Mock made the announcement on social media before deleting the post later on.

Stana Katic welcomed the arrival of her first child. The baby was born late last year but the couple decided to keep it to themselves until she made a Father’s Day post honoring her husband, Kris Brkljac, on June 19th.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch will soon be an eligible bachelor again. He is divorcing Jerry Hall after six years of marriage.

Also on the road to singledom is Kendall Jenner. The reality star broke up with her boyfriend, Devin Brooker. This ends their two-year romance.

Bill Nye surprised his fandom by getting married. He and Liza Mundy wed at the Smithsonian in a ceremony fit for The Science Guy on Thursday, June 24.

Crime and Punishment

It was a big day in court on Friday for Suge Knight. The Death Row Records founder fought a wrongful death suit for his running over and killing Terry Carter. The Judge could not reach a verdict, however, and the case ended in a mistrial.

Oscar Winner Paul Haggis was arrested for sexual assault in Italy. It is alleged he attacked the woman, dropped her off at an airport, and the staff there took her to the hospital. At the time of publication, he is still in custody.

Bill Cosby was found liable during another sexual assault civil suit. This time, Judy Huth took on the former TV star with her account of being attacked as a 16-year-old at the Playboy mansion.

Celebrity Scandals & Stories

Casey Affleck’s girlfriend, Caylee Cowan got quite a scare when she woke up to a burgler not just in her home but standing over her. She managed to scare him away and call the cops. He was arrested shortly after.

Ezra Miller was in the news once again. This time for allegedly boarding a mother and three small children at a Vermont farm. While the woman says Miller is doing nothing more than helping her escape an abusive relationship, the father of the children says otherwise.

Elon Musk’s child cut ties with him this week. The 18-year-old not only changed their full legal name from Xavier Musk to Vivian Janne Wilson but made it clear they purposely left off their father’s last name.

Casting & Changes

Three-Time Daytime Emmy Award winner Peter Bergman inked a new deal with Sony Pictures Television and CBS to continue his role as Jack Abbott on the sudser The Young and the Restless for five more years. Get the full story here.

Canadian TV show Working’ Moms is renewed for a new season, but sadly it will be the last. The show will end with the season 7 finale.

Sherri Shepherd is getting her own talk show! Her time in the Wendy Williams chair is over and, in the fall, she’ll start her own brand. ‘Sherri’ is set to premiere on Monday, September 12.

RHOBH’s Kyle Richards is teaming up with her husband and children for a new Netflix reality show. This one is set to focus on their family Real Estate business. “Buying Beverly Hills” premieres this fall.

Winter is coming! GoT fans will be thrilled to learn a Game of Throne spinoff is in the works. George R.R. Martin confirmed Kit Harrington will soon return as Jon Snow for a prequel.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Friends and family of Netflix’s upcoming show The Chosen One are in mourning this week after a horrific crash claimed two members of the cast. Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar were killed in a fatal accident on Thursday.

It was a hard week for the members of Fleetwood Mac. On the 18th, the band revealed they broke up again. And then, on June 19th they lost Brett Tuggle. The rocker died of complications relating to his struggle with cancer. He was 70 years old.

Grammy-winning musician James Rado died on June 22 at 90 years old. The iconic composer was one of the Co-Creator of the music ‘Hair’ and went on to work on the soundtracks for over a hundred movies, plays, musicals, and TV shows.

X-Factor alum, Tom Mann suffered a tragic loss when his fiancé died mere hours before their wedding on June 21st. The couple welcomed their son Bowie eight months ago. No cause of death is available yet. Dani Hampson was 34 years old.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson died this week. The NFL player passed on June 22 at just 26 years old. His cause of death is not known at this time.

The NFL suffered another tragic loss with the death of Hall of Fame Hugh McElhenny. The former running back passed away on June 23rd at 93 years old.

Italian musician, Massimo Morant, died on June 23. The was the founding member of the Italian Prog group, Goblin, which is hailed as shaping the sound of seventies horror movies.
