Entertainment News: Love And Marriage

Bo Derek (beloved for 10 and Bolero) became a bride this week. She and longtime beau John Corbett (Sex and the City, Northern Exposure) headed to the altar to cement their 20-year relationship.

Illness and Injury

Kathy Griffin shocked the world when she announced her lung cancer diagnosis hours before going into surgery. Thankfully, all went well and she is in recovery. Griffin told People Magazine she received a promising outlook.

Mariska Hargitay fans are set to get a good look at her recent injury. The star broke her ankle in July and is still on the mend. Her situation will be addressed during the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU.

Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk scared his fellow cast members when he collapsed on set. The actor suffered a “small heart attack” (as he calls it). Don’t worry, fans, he assured the press he is already on the mend.

Comedian Andrew Dice Clay was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy this week. He’s not letting it get him down, though. According to TMZ, Clay is not only still taking the stage but is working his condition into his act.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is about to get a little cozier. Ellen Burstyn revives her Law & Order: SVU role as Elliot Stabler’s unstable mother. Will Bernadette stir up trouble in her son’s life?

There’s a new doctor in the house over at New Amsterdam. Michelle Forbes (ex- Sonni/Solita, Guiding Light) joins the cast as Dr. Veronica Feuntes. Get the details on her new role here.

Xena the Warrior Princess fans will be excited to learn Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor are finally reuniting on screen. TV Line reports O’Connor has paid a visit to the set of Lawless’s new show, My Life Is Murder.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Hearts broke across the Hip Hop world by the death of Fetty Wap’s four-year-old Lauren Maxwell. The little girl died of complications from a heart defect.

Late-night infomercial King, Ron Popeil, passed away at 86 years old. The actor and Ronco founder made a household name for himself with his quick pitches and exciting personality.

Priscilla Presley suffered the loss of her mother, Anna Lillian Iversen. Priscilla announced the passing on Instagram.
