Entertainment News: Love and Family
It’s baby number three for Jill Duggar Dillard. She and her husband, Derrick Dillard welcomed their second son, Frederick Michael Dillard this week. The Counting On stars said the name pays homage to some very special men in their lives.
Also becoming a family of five are Pippa Middleton and James Matthews. The sister of Kate Middleton announced the baby’s arrival on July 11th, but the baby is already a few weeks old. No name has been announced at the time of this publication.
Khloe Kardashian is expecting baby number two with ex-Tristan Thompson via a surrogate reports People Magazine. The two are not back together as a couple but are joined together in co-parenting duties for True’s new sibling-to-be.
DWTS Pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy announced they are expecting their first child together due in January 2023. Johnson told People Magazine how she let Val know in a special way. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons, announced that she tied the knot with ex-police detective Dan Grice on June 11. The newlyweds met back in 2014 when he was assigned to her security detail for an appearance she made in Springfield, Oregon. The rest is history, as they say.

Crime and Punishment
RHOSLC castmate Jen Shah is facing some serious jail time after pleading guilty to wire fraud. The reality star took a plea deal after running a telemarketing scam targeting seniors. She will not stand trial and go straight to sentencing. She could go away for up to 30 years behind bars. Rumor has it, she is still currently taping the show while waiting for her next court date.
Q’Orianka Kilcher, best known for her roles as Kerrianne Telford in Sons of Anarchy and Angela Blue Thunder in Yellowstone, is facing fraud charges. It is alleged she illegally received workers’ compensation payments after being injured on the set of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. The actress denies the charges and plans to fight the California Department of Insurance.
Latin singing sensation and actor Ricky Martin faces up to 50 years in prison due to an accusation of domestic violence and the fact that said accuser has been revealed to be his cousin which means harsher penalties under Puerto Rican law. Dennis Yadiel Sanchez has retained a restraining order against Martin. So far no official response has been issued from the singer.
Entertainment News: Illness and Injury
Constance Wu revealed she attempted suicide after a bitter social media backlash over a tweet about Fresh Off the Boat. One fellow actress went as far as to say Wu was a “blight” on the Asian American community. Luckily, a friend found her and rushed her to the ER. The young actress is coming clean on social media after a three-year break.
Tom Arnold recently showed off his dramatic 75lb weight loss. The 63-year-old single father suffered a mini-stroke and organ failure in recent years and decided to take his health seriously. He teamed up with life coach Charles D’Angelo and is very pleased with the results. Find out how he did it.

The richest person in the world may be a teeny tiny bit poorer very soon. The owners of Twitter are taking Elon Musk to court to the tune of $44 billion dollars. They allege his backing out of the deal to buy the platform breached their contract, disrupted operations, and tanked the stock value of the company.
Casting & Changes
Criminal Minds fans can shout hallelujah! Executive Producer and showrunner Erica Messer signed a pact with ABC Signature, triggering a greenlight for Paramount + to begin production on the 10-episode production order. Deadline reports returning cast members Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, and Paget Brewster begin taping on August 21.
SNL’s Kenan Thompson’s Artist for Artists production company inked a deal to create a live-action series based on the Instagram account, My Therapist Says. The account touts memes that focus on mental health and the general messiness of life and has 7.5 million followers.
Jeff Goldblum signed on to Netflix’s Kaos, a dark comedy reimagining Greek Mythology, in the lead role, playing the vengeful god Zeus. The iconic actor replaces Hugh Grant who had to drop out due to unavailability.
In other Netflix news, Diane Lane signed on to play Jeff Daniels’ spouse in a new series based on the Tom Wolfe novel A Man In Full. David E. Kelley is on-board as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner, while Regina King is set to direct.
Black Panther 2 suffered another production setback as Daniel Kaluuya had to bow out of his role of W’kabi, Black Panther’s best friend and husband to Danai Gurira’s Okoye due to scheduling conflicts with promoting Jordan Peele’s Nope. The popular series has been plagued with delays due to the death of Chadwick Boseman, COVID, and an injury sustained by Letitia Wright. The Hollywood Reporter states it is still dated for release on November 11, 2022.
Alfonso Ribeiro will join Tyra Banks as co-host for the 31st season of Dancing With The Stars on Disney + according to Variety. This will be the second time he filled a void left by Tom Bergeron. He previously stepped in to fill hosting duties for Bergeron on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Law & Order actor Christopher Meloni bared all in a new Peloton ad celebrating National Nude Day. The minute-long commercial shows the very fit 61-year-old working out doing various exercises with his most private part blurred for the audience.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam
Busisiwe Lurayi passed away on July 10th. The actress stole hearts as Tumi Sello on Netflix’s How to Ruin Christmas passed away unexpectedly at her home. Her cause of death is unknown. Busisiwe was 36 years old.
July 11th saw the death of Monty Norman. The legendary composer rose famously scored the James Bond theme and is well loved across the movie industry after spending more than 50 years creating music for the big and small screen. He was 94 years old.
Oprah Winfrey’s father Vernon Winfrey passed away quietly in his sleep surrounded by family in Nashville, Tennessee at 89. The media mogul once stated in a Washington Post interview that he was the one who pointed her away from a life of crime and helped her to channel her better side.
Music Promotion Pioneer Don Graham died of stomach cancer in his home in Los Angeles. Graham was well-known for his work for Edd “Kookie” Byrnes, Connie Stevens, The Everly Brothers, Ike & Tina Turner, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. He was 87.
Ivana Trump, the former wife of ex-President Donald J. Trump, died in her Manhattan home on July 14 at age 73. The couple provided fodder for the tabloids in the 80s. The Czech-American businesswoman and mother of Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka went on to become successful as an author and international realtor on her own after the marriage ended in 1990.
Mark Fleischman, the former owner of the notorious nightclub Studio 54, died by assisted suicide in Zurich at 82. The nightclub impresario had been battling an undetermined degenerative disease that left him paralyzed. His wife Mimi was by his side.
Former ex-producer and writer for Beverly Hills 90210, Jessica Klein, passed away from pancreatic cancer on July 13. She was also known for her work on soap operas like Capitol, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, and the Primetime Emmy award-winning Band of Brothers, and the Oscar-nominated The Green Mile. Klein was 66.
William “Poogie” Hart, the lead singer of the Philly-Soul group The Delfonics, died from complications due to a recent surgery at a Philadelphia hospital. Touted as one of the purest falsettos around, Hart cranked out such classic hits as La-La Means I Love You and Didn’t I Blow Your Mind This Time. He was 77.
Former Carolina Panthers first-round draft pick and Jackson State football star Rashard Anderson died at the age of 45. The cause of death is currently undetermined.
37-year-old NASCAR Driver Bobby East was stabbed to death during an altercation at a gas station in California. Police are on the lookout for a heavily tattooed drifter named Trent William Millsap. It is unclear what caused the altercation.
