Love Is Blind’s Jessica Batten is pregnant! The reality star is expecting her first child with Benjamin McGrath. The couple married in September and are thrilled to welcome their new addition. McGrath is a father of two from a previous relationship.
Also expecting is Ireland Baldwin. She and her boyfriend André Allen Anjos announced their good news by posting a sonogram picture on Instagram.
Ashley Olsen is a married woman! She and longtime partner Louis Eisner wed on December 28th in a secret ceremony. The quiet event only hosted 50 of the couple’s closest friends and family.
Jeremy Renner is in critical condition after being hit by his snow plow. The actor used the plow to dig out his car and when finished, the machine rolled toward him causing severe injuries. Entertainment Weekly has the full story.
The world of sports went into shock when Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. The football star had to be resuscitated twice (once on the field) after having a cardiac episode during a game. Former NFL player Peyton Hillis is also in the ICU. He put himself in serious danger to save his children from drowning after an accident in Pensacola, Florida. His condition is improving and his children are safe.
Al Roker returned to the air this week after his harrowing health scare. The Today show welcomed back their beloved weatherman who spoke about his multiple operations, his stays in the hospital, and how he’s glad to be back.
Ex-UFC star Phil Baroni was arrested in Mexico. He is accused of rage-killing his girlfriend in a San Pancho hotel room. According to reports, the murder happened when a disagreement turned physical and Baroni claims the killing was accidental.
Bill Cosby was planning on touring again but it looks like the disgraced comedian may want to put that on hold as he faces even more sexual abuse lawsuits. This time, Stacey Pinkerton says she was drugged by Cosby at a restaurant and then taken to a hotel room and assaulted in 1986.
Billie Eilish went through quite the ordeal this week when her family home was broken into. Thankfully, the suspect is under arrest already. It’s not yet clear what, if anything, was taken from the property which houses her parents Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell.
Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shaw will spend some time behind bars. She was sentenced to 6.5 years after being found guilty of committing fraud. It is alleged she was part of a telemarketing scam that targeted elderly victims.
A new name is in the mix as the next 007 star. Reports state Taylor Johnson is being considered for the Bond role. This comes after Lucien Laviscount’s name was put forth as well.
Lisa Rinna is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She took on the reality TV show in 2014 and is known as one of the main drama makers in the series. After eight seasons, she is departing the franchise.
Grammy-winning singer and founding member of the legendary Pointer Sister, Anita Pointer passed away on December 31st. The iconic songstress spend decades in the spotlight and is known as one of the greatest R&B voices of all time. She lost her battle with cancer at 74 years old.
Three 6 Mafia lost a member of their own this week. Lola Ghantrelle Mitchell aka Gangsta Boo died on January 1st. She will be fondly remembered for her multiple contributions to the world of rap, not only with the group but her three solo albums, multiple mix tapes, and countless collaborations. She was 43 years old. At this time, no cause of death is known.
January 1st also marked the death of Jeremiah Green. The Modest Mouse drummer passed away shortly after going public with his stage 4 cancer diagnosis. He was 45 years old.
Earth, Wind & Fire drummer Fred White is another big name to pass on New Year’s Day. His family took to social media to share the news of his loss. He was 67 years old.
Veteran actor and voice-over artist Earl Boen lost his battle with lung cancer on January 5th. Terminator fans may remember Boen as the criminal psychologist brought in to interrogate Michael Biehn’s Kyle Reese. He was 81.
Adam Rich, best known for his portrayal of Nicholas Bradford on the TV family drama Eight is Enough, was found dead in his L.A. home on January 7. A child star in the 70s and 80s, Rich struggled with celebrity and dropped out of the limelight. He succumbed to substance abuse issues and legal entanglements in the 90s. No cause of death has been released at this time. He was 54.
