Hollywood “IT” couple Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are no more. The duo announced their separation on Jan 12, just days before Momoa wrapped up production on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The couple shared a touching statement about their split on their social media.
Josh Duhamel is engaged. The former All My Children actor proposed to former Miss World America Audra Mari. The actor shared the news on social media along with a snap of his cute proposal.
Also engaged are Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. The rocker got down on one knee and presented Megan with a stunning rock. The pair later sealed the deal by drinking each other’s blood.
Lauren Silverman is sporting Simon Cowell’s ring. The long-term couple has dated since 2004 and is finally ready to seal the deal, so to speak.
Late civil rights activist Maya Angelou is receiving another high honor. She is the first black woman to appear on the American quarter. The newly minted coin is heading into circulation. The U.S. Mint will go on to honor nineteen more trailblazing women during this series.
Former child star, Hayley Mills was honored by the Academy Awards as they replaced her stolen Oscar. Hayley won the coveted trophy in 1960 but it was later stolen from her home in 1980. She now has a new one ready to shine bright on her shelf. Mills won the award for her performance in the 1960 film Pollyanna.
Prince Andrew is no longer “His Royal Highness” and was also forced to forfeit his military titles, uniform, and patronages. The Queen is throwing her son to the wolves as he faces charges stemming from his alleged involvement in the “Pedophile Island” scandal. Andrew could face extradition to the U.S. to face additional charges after he deals with his case in Britain.
The View’s Ana Navarro is taking a break from the show after testing positive for Covid. The co-host is at home quarantining and said she is well as can be. Deadline has the details.
Lisa Vanderpump is also one of Covid’s latest celebrity victims. The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills took to social media to announce her diagnosis. So far, Vanderpump has not told fans the extent of her symptoms.
Lana Del Rey is dealing with a stalker. The singer filed and won a temporary restraining order against alleged Janeen Lee Stratton. Del Rey claims the woman not only harasses the artist but her team as well. TMZ has the full story.
Kanye West was in hot water this week. The megastar was named as a suspect in a battery case on January 13th. According to reports, Kanye was involved in an altercation that turned physical and he pushed a male fan.
Jamie Lynn Spears became a hot topic while doing interviews promoting her new book. She was under fire by fans after multiple TV spots where she explained her role (or lack thereof) in her sister’s conservatorship and road to freedom. Not only that but she was called out as a liar and a bully by her past Zoe 101 costar, Alexa Nikolas.
R&B star Brandy Norwood was accused of theft after a designer ring her team borrowed went missing. Brady’s stylist worked with Elle B. Mambetov to procure the piece, ringing in at a whopping $45k. The problem arose when the ring was never returned. Brandy denies any involvement and claims she never even saw the ring.
Nicki Minaj is off the hook for harassment but the drama isn’t over for the rapper. While her team plans to go after her accuser for legal fees, they may have to wait. Nicki’s husband is still named in the case and has to face off with the woman he was convicted of raping in 1995.
Good news Grey’s Anatomy fans! The show is coming back for Season 19. The announcement came on January 10th. There is no word yet on whether or not there will also be a season 20.
Also renewed is Apple TV’s The Morning Show. The drama, which stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, will be back for a season three sometime this year. Season two began streaming on November 19th.
The Voice fans will still get to see their favorite reality stardom show but less of it. Deadline confirmed The Voice will remain on the air but will move to a once-per-year cycle.
The Real World Homecoming is down one famous face. David Edwards walked away from the fan-favorite reality show during the final days of taping. He will not be there for the season finale.
Canadian teen drama, Degrassi has found a new home. The next installment of the series will air on HBO Max. Next Generation is set to stream in the spring.
An entire generation lost their TV dad this week with the death of Bob Saget. The famed comedian died in his sleep on January 9th at the age of 65. Bob stole hearts portraying Danny Tanner on Full House, a role quite opposite to his actual humor.
Dwayne Hickman died at 87 years old on January 9th. The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis star passed away surrounded by his family after a battle with Parkinson’s disease.
The Tonight Show lost another legend this week. Former director and brother of Johnny Carson, Dick Carson, has passed away. He died on January 9 at 92 years old.
Sinead O’Connor is in mourning after the loss of her teenage son. Shane O’Connor was under suicide watch in an Irish hospital but somehow managed to escape and end his life. The singer blames the hospital for her loss and hints she plans to go after the institution. Sinead is now in the hospital herself after a series of suicidal tweets.
NBC Universal lost a member of their own. Long-term Digital Content executive Todd Whiting died on January 4 from cardiac arrest following a struggle with Covid and pneumonia.
The Ronettes lead singer Ronnie Spector lost her battle with cancer on January 12. The Ronettes rose to fame in the 1950s and ’60s and are well remembered for the songs Be My Baby and Chapel of Love. Ronnie was 78 years old.
The Bachelorette franchise is in mourning after the loss of Clint Arlis. The season 11 star died on January 11th at 34 years old. His death was confirmed on Friday by his sister. As of publication, no cause of death is known.
