Entertainment News: Love & Family

Eminem has a reason to celebrate. His daughter is getting married! Hailie Jade said yes to Evan McClintock and is now sporting his ring. The couple has been together since 2016.

Is Christine Brown (Sister Wives) dating? It sure sounds like it! She went on social media to update fans she is in an exclusive relationship with a new flame. While she confirmed her dating status, she has yet to release details on her new beau.

Gold Star Accomplishments

Viola Davis became the latest EGOT member this week. She won the last piece on Sunday when she received the Grammy for her audiobook Finding Me: A Memoir.

Also hitting it big was Beyoncé. She became the biggest Grammy winner of all time. Sunday marked her 32nd award. Next to her is George Solti at 31 wins, Quincy Jones coming in with 28, and Alison Krauss holding 27 trophies.

Health & Wellness

It was a scary week for Little People, Big World’s Tori and Zack Roloff. He underwent a 72-hour brain surgery on Thursday morning for an emergency shunt revision. Thankfully, he is recovering well.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a massive stroke this week. He is said to be stable in the ICU but his speech is limited. His family is hoping he’ll make a full recovery.

Entertainment News: Celebrity Scandals & Hot Topics

RHOBH alum Tom Girardi was back in court on Monday. He was ordered to undergo a mental competency evaluation before the court moves forward on his charges He was then turned over to his current conservator, his brother Robert Girardi on a $250K bond.

Alec Baldwin is facing a civil suit brought on by the parents of the late Halyna Hutchins. The new lawsuit, stemming from the Rust set shooting comes three weeks after the reveal that Baldwin is also facing criminal charges.

Rumor has it Britney Spears almost had another intervention. According to TMZ, her husband and friends had a plan set out to try to get the pop star help. It all fell through when Britney learned what was going on and balked at the idea.

Ron Jeremy was committed to a mental health facility on Thursday. He is facing a 30-count indictment alleging rape, sexual assault, and other heinous crimes. The former adult film star could spend the rest of his days in medical lockup after being deemed unfit to stand trial.

A body shaming post caused former reality star Adrianne Curry to delete her Twitter account on Thursday. She tried to go after Melanie Lynskey saying her body type was not fit for her role on Last Of Us. It did not go well. Melanie put Curry on blast and the backlash drove Curry right off the platform.

This Week In Music

Whitney Houston fans can look forward to new music. A post-mortem album, I Go to the Rock will be released on March 24th. This record comes 11 years after the megastar’s untimely death in 2012.

Also providing a gift to fans is Linkin Park. Friday marked the release of the first song since Chester Bennington’s death in 2017. The song, ‘Lost’, was a forgotten track that never made it onto their Grammy-winning album Meteora.

Casting & Changes

Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman are teaming up on the small screen. They’ll play sisters in a new Prime Video series. Report is a TV adaption of Patricia Cornwell’s book series following heroine Kay Scarpetta.

Damon Wayans and his son Damon Wayans Jr. may be getting a new series. CBS has ordered the sitcom pilot and is hoping to put the show in development in October.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Eight-time Grammy-winning composer Burt Bacharach passed away on February 8th. He and composing partner Hal David worked closely with stars like Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra. He was 94 years old.

Veteran Hollywood publicist, Jeffrey Ballard, lost his 5-year struggle with cancer on January 30. Many of his clients such as Charlie Sheen, Paula Abdul, and Lori Loughlin spoke out about the loss. He was 64.

Another Hollywood publicist, Doris Bergman, died in a tragic house fire on February 9, along with her husband, attorney Albert Sassone Jr. and the beloved cat in Mar Vista, Los Angeles. She was 68.

Six-time Emmy award-winning production designer, Eugene Lee, for Saturday Night Live and multiple Tony award winner for shows like Wicked, Sweeney Todd, and Candide passed away on Monday, February 6, after a brief illness. He was 83.

Actor Cody Longo was found dead at home after a wellness check. The 34-year-old actor was best known for his role as Eddie Duran on Hollywood Heights and Nicholas Alamain, son of Lawrence Alamain and Carly Manning, on Days of our Lives. No cause of death released at this time.
