It’s baby number two for The Challenge cast members, Jenna Connor and Zach Nichols. They welcomed their second daughter Liliana Marie to the world on December 27th.
Nick Cannon announced the arrival of his 12th child. The baby girl, Halo Marie, was born on December 14th. This is his second child with Alyssa Scott. The pair lost their first child, Zen last December at five months old.
Illness and Injury
Famed Modest Mouse drummer Jeremiah Green’s family opened up about his cancer diagnosis on Christmas Day. The iconic musician’s mother shared the news of his late-stage (stage 4) illness with fans and asked for healing vibes.

Meek Mill made Christmas dreams come true for many families. He bailed twenty Philadelphia women out of jail so they could be home with their children for the holiday through his REFORM Alliance.
An online beef broke out between Andrew Tate and environmental activist Greta Thunberg which led to Tate’s arrest. A tweet exchange between the two got Andrew so heated he posted a two-minute rant video against the teenager. Unfortunately for him, he had pizza boxes in the video that confirmed he was in Romania. Within hours, Romanian authorities arrested Tate and his brother on human trafficking and rape charges.
Steven Tyler is in hot water as allegations rise that he sexually assaulted a minor. The case comes from Julia Holcomb who claims Tyler assaulted her when she was 16 and then forced her to have an abortion in 1973. Page Six has the full story.
Valerie Bertinelli became a neighborhood hero after she caught would-be burglars on camera. She posted the footage of the man coming to the door to scope out her house but noticing the camera and running off. This comes after a string of break-and-enter crimes in her area.
Casting & Changes
Jesse L. Martin won’t be off T. for too long after his Flash exit. He’s taking the lead role in NBC’s The Irrational. A pilot was ordered back in April and the series has been given the green light.
Entertainment News: In Memoriam
Former Pope Benedict XVI passed away on New Year’s Eve at the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican. He abdicated from his post in 2013, the first Pope in 568 years to do so, during the fallout of the abuse coverup claims against the church. He was 95.
The founding member of the Grammy-award-winning sister act, The Pointer Sisters, Anita Pointer, passed away on December 31. Her death was preceded by the passing of her sisters, Bonnie (2020), and June (2006), and her daughter, Jada (2003). She was 74.
British actor, Stephen Greif, passed away on December 26th. The famed star spent over six decades on the big and small screens boasting over 100 credits to his portfolio. He will be fondly remembered for his roles in Spartan, Casanova, and Risen. He was 78 years old.
Tragedy struck the late Bob Marley’s family. His grandson passed away on December 27th. Joseph ‘Jo’ Mersa Marley followed in his granddad’s footsteps by carrying on his musical legacy as a reggae artist. The 31-year-old’s death is attributed to an asthma-related condition.
Soccer legend Pelé passed away on December 29th. The iconic athlete is known as the G.O.A.T. after winning three World Cups in 1958, 1962, and 1970. He died at 82 years old after a battle with colon cancer.
Fashion designer Vivienne Westwood died on December 29th. Vivienne is largely credited for bringing punk style to the forefront and keeping the style in the spotlight. She was 81 years old.
British actor and comedian John Bird passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24, 2022. He was one of the comedians responsible for the rise in UK satire in the 60s. He was 86.
