Drew Scott and Linda Phan are having a baby. This is the first child for the ‘Property Brothers’ couple. This is quite a miracle for the couple who wed in 2018. They struggled with fertility issues and turned to IVF to conceive.

Entertainment News: Illness and Injury
Trevor Noah is suing Dr. Riley J. Williams and the Hospital for Special Surgery after a botched surgery. The talk show host alleges the doc not only messed him up for life but the aftercare he received was subpar, including improper medicine being prescribed. TMZ has the full story.
Speaking of surgery, Caitlyn Jenner went under the knife, and not for cosmetic purposes. The Olympic athlete turned reality TV star got her knee replaced on December 14. She is at home, recovering, and said to be doing well.
Celebrity Scandals
There were more consequences for Chris Noth this week. He was let go from his position on the hit show Equalizer following his sexual misconduct scandal. Not only that, but the cast of Sex and the City stepped up to show support for his accusers.
James Franco tried to step back into the limelight following sexual assault allegations that came out four years ago. His re-emergence into fame did not go well, though, and he was slammed by his victims and their supporters.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam
Drakeo The Ruler died this week after being stabbed to death at the Once Upon a Time music festival. The rapper, born Darrel Caldwell, was only 28 years old. The deadly incident left fans, attendees, and talent reeling with award-winning rapper Snoop Dog cutting his headline performance to send condolences to Drakeo’s family.
Il Divo’s Carlos Martin died on December 19 from Covid complications. The singer was 53 years old. The band announced his death on Twitter along with a heartfelt message.
Alicia Witt suffered a horrifying loss this week with the sudden death of both her parents. Their bodies were found in their home during a wellness check. Autopsies are underway to rule on the cause of death. So far, the police do not suspect foul play.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s Sally Ann Howes passed away at 91 years of age. The actress was loved by many and famous for her role in the movie as well as taking over the part of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady after Julie Andrews.
Critically acclaimed author Joan Didion lost her battle with Parkinson’s. She passed away on December 23 at 87 years old. She was made famous for penning the books The White Album and The Year of Magical Thinking.
