It was quite a shock when Garcelle Beauvais walked off the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion set and never looked back. She had had enough and quit the show. The whole Bravo universe is weighing in, including former RHOBH Lisa Vanderpump.
History Repeated
Lisa left RHOBH in 2019, and the circumstances weren’t that different from Garcelle’s recent departure. Many players are the same, including Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley. The scandal, involving a dog adopted by Dorit, became known as “Puppy Gate.” The other ladies took Dorit’s side and basically iced out LVP. The scandal culminated when Lisa asked her former BFF, Kyle, to leave her home, and her husband, Ken, yelled the famous “Goodbye Kyle” as she left Villa Rosa. The Vanderpump Rules star never returned to RHOBH.
Fast-forward to 2025, when Garcelle, like Lisa, felt ignored by most of her castmates. She remarked during the reunion that no one even smiled at her. Even her bestie, Sutton, didn’t have her back. By the end of the show, Garcelle was done with the whole cast, and it was time for her to leave. She later unfollowed most of the cast on social media.
LVP Weighs In
Lisa and Garcelle are friends. The women truly like each other, and Garcelle’s oldest son, Oliver, works at Lisa’s Las Vegas restaurant, Vanderpump à Paris.
“I love Garcelle,” LVP said to US Weekly in February 2025. “I actually think she’s probably one of the only ones I would have anything in common with. I think she’s a really hard working, down-to-earth woman and I have a lot of respect for her…”
After hearing of her friend’s departure from the series, the restaurateur spoke with TMZ. “Oh, she’s a wonderful woman. I’m sure she’s moving on to other things,” she said. “It kind of served her well, and I wish her lots of luck…” When asked if she would ever return to the Housewives, she answered with a definite “no”.
