Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are among the sexiest real-life couples on daytime television. It makes sense since they met on the set of a soap opera. The All My Children alum invited Architectural Digest into their “French fantasy.” Their house tour was everything that fans wanted… and more.
Kelly and Mark welcomed the cameras into their Upper East Side townhouse. In 2013, they purchased the home from fashion designer Luca Orlandi and his wife, Oluchi Onweagba, for $27 million. Unlike most couples who stage their homes for AD tours before selling, Kelly declared this was the last home she’d live in.
The house tour starts with their gigantic kitchen. The famous couple then led the cameras into Mark’s cigar room. Soap fans will enjoy seeing how these talk show hosts live when the cameras are off. They return home to their five-story townhouse, which they call a “French fantasy.”
Thanks to the help of interior designers Emma O’Neill and William Sofield of Studio Sofield, their home features an Art Deco style. Kelly and Mark are fond of this home since it’s where they raised their three kids. They have no plans to move out, even though their kids no longer live there.
“I don’t want to sound morbid, but they’ll have to carry me out of here feet first because I have gotten good and comfortable in this house,” Kelly said.
Mark explained that he wanted to customize the house to reflect their personal tastes. The interior designers helped them develop the 20th-century French glamour theme, including Art Deco-style touches. For example, Mark’s cigar room has dark walls, thick velvet curtains, and black leather couches.

Kelly and Mark are happy with their home. It was made for them, not for anyone else. Fans sounded off on Architectural Digest’s YouTube video but mostly commented on their sizzling chemistry and rock-solid marriage.
“One of those few couples who still look like they’re in love and quite playful with each other… great to see!” one fan mused. “They have been married since 1996, and it shows in the best way,” another user wrote. “I really want Kelly and Mark to have their own style show together: homes, travel, art, fashion, cuisine. They would be so fun on something like that,” a third fan suggested.
It’s easy to see that Kelly and Mark are still crazy about each other. They even finish each other’s sentences. What are your thoughts on their NYC townhouse? Let us know in the comment section.
