If you’ve ever wanted a chance to sit down and share a meal with cast members of This is Us, your ship has come in! Two of the show’s most popular performers, Justin Hartley (Kevin) and Chris Sullivan (Toby), have teamed up with a charity and the grand prize is breaking bread with the two actors!
“You could join me and Chris Sullivan for dinner in LA when it’s safe to travel!” Hartley posted on his Instagram account. “Sound like fun? Enter at [this link] or go to omaze.com/dinner today. Donations support Operation Therapy and can help provide veterans with service animals! #omaze @omaze.”
If a video to promote the charity that Hartley and Sullivan put together is any indication, the winner and his/her guest are in for a fun time. In setting up what the winner will get, Hartley assures the lucky recipient in advance that the dinner won’t be like ones seen on the show where characters unload their deepest feelings.
However, Sullivan maintains the opposite (conflict already!), noting that the winner is more than welcome to cry on his shoulder if they want to — he’s going to bring two shirts just in case! The two actors banter back and forth in the video with Hartley eventually having a faux-emotional moment in which he tells Sullivan he’d never want to lose touch with him.
Not surprisingly, responses to this post and the opportunity within have been enthusiastic! Hartley’s video has had almost 400,000 views!
“[T]his is my dream,” posted @megankw7. @bteegard shared: “To have dinner with both of them is literally all I want in life…”
The winner and a guest will be flown to Los Angeles and put up in a four-star hotel. They’ll get to hear stories from the set from Justin Hartley and Chris Sullivan. As safety is a top priority, this will be scheduled for a time when it is safe to travel (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and will work for the actors’ schedules.
If you want to enter, you better hurry! This opportunity closes on Thursday, January 14. And the winner will be announced on or around Wednesday, February 3. This Is Us airs weekly on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
