The CW is aiming to win hearts with a new slate of original movies debuting just in time for the holiday season. Its roster of films inspired by Harlequin romances is bound to give you butterflies. Starting in November, broadcast viewers will be able to watch as the women at the center of these movies take charge of their lives and fall in love.
Starring beloved CW actresses like Arrow and Walker Independence‘s Katherine McNamara and The Flash‘s Danielle Panabaker, as well as Days of Our Lives alum True O’Brien, Glee‘s Amber Riley, Shadow Hunter‘s Emeraude Toubia, and Transplant‘s Katharine King. So, CW’s romances will enchant lovers of love through to the end of the year.

Montana Mavericks
Premiere date: Sunday, November 16 at 8 p.m. ET
Heather (Katherine McNamara) is a bestselling author struggling with a serious case of writer’s block, compounded by her mother’s death and a looming deadline. If she can’t finish her book in time, she’ll have to pay her advance back, and that is something she cannot afford. But when she inherits her family’s ranch, this big city girl finds herself having to make a detour to Montana. With her best friends along for the ride, Heather intends on selling her inheritance.
Falling in love with Cliff (Dennis Andres), her childhood friend who’s now a cowboy and veterinarian, wasn’t in her plans. He’s just next door to the dilapidated ranch, and he’s a challenge to her New York City ideals. With him in her life, Heather is set to learn that what she thought she wanted may not be what she needs. Linda Kee and Kaya Coleman also star in Montana Mavericks.

Second Guessing Fate
Premiere date: Sunday, November 23 at 8 p.m. ET
Need Gemma (Danielle Panabaker) to plan an event for you? She has you covered; she’s the best at what she does. But when it comes to her love life, there’s a lot left to be desired. Convinced romance just isn’t in the cards for her, Gemma is ready to give up on dating altogether until she meets a fortune teller.
When she’s told that she’s one horrible date away from finding true love, the event planner is skeptical, but she’s open to the idea. That’s why she accepts a blind date with Nick (Corey Sevier) and, as is her luck, it goes horribly. Everything that can go wrong does, including Gemma crashing her car into Enzo (Brendan Morgan), a handsome and wealthy stranger.
With the fortune teller’s predictions starting to come true, Gemma’s cynicism begins to evaporate as she opens the door to love. But is she misreading the signs? Only fate knows. Jocelyn Chugg and Ari Rombough also star in Second Guessing Fate.

Savvy Sheldon Feels Good As Hell
Premiere date: Sunday, November 30 at 8 p.m. ET
Savvy (Amber Riley) is looking for an upgrade. Her high-stress, low-thanks job isn’t cutting it anymore, and neither is the situationship she’s found herself in. But the kitchen she inherited from her grandmother, who cultivated Savvy’s love for cooking, along with a trove of delicious recipes, could be the spark she needs to make a change. So, too, could Isaiah (Dorian Grey), the contractor she’s hired who’s falling for Savvy’s heart as much as he is her cuisine.
With her mom and best friend cheering her on from the sidelines, Savvy plans to step into her true calling. And, in doing so, may just create the life she deserves that’s full of the same love she puts into every meal she makes. Paws in the City

Issa (Emeraude Toubia) is a whiz at social media, but a blunder she makes puts her out of a job when she accidentally ruins a young actress’s career. In desperate need of employment to keep a roof over her and her teenage sister’s heads, Issa has to settle for being a dog nanny when she’s blackballed in Manhattan.
Camila, the dachshund Issa cares for, is a diva to the highest order and has a schedule that ranges from playdates to pet psychics. But it’s her bark that’s worse, not her bite. The pup takes after her father, Theo (Carter Jenkins), in that way. He’s a handsome recluse that Issa finds herself being drawn to. When the social media maven took the job, she didn’t expect it to provide her with the ability to resuscitate her career, reunite her family, and find love, but life often works in mysterious ways.

Recipe for Romance
Premiere date: Saturday, December 13 at 8 p.m. ET
Sari (True O’Brien) is ready to rise to the occasion when her parents go on vacation and entrust the stewardship of the family coffee shop to her capable hands. So, it’s too bad that her big plans get upended by Gabe (Alex Mallari Jr.), the so handsome and charming yet annoying bakery owner who just opened his shop next door to hers.
Now in direct competition for customers and foot traffic, Sari and Gabe end up in a prank war. But all the mishaps and “accidents” in the world can’t stop the attraction that bubbles up between the two. As the Little Manila Festival approaches, they find themselves not only creating delicious pastries but also giving in to their irresistible chemistry.
