NBC finally released the trailer for Grosse Pointe Garden Society. Days of our Lives isn’t the only soap that’s on Peacock. This new drama evokes murder, mystery, and intrigue.

What To Know

If you’re craving more murder mysteries, you’re in luck. This new series looks pretty on the outside with its attractive cast and floral aesthetics, but it’s a gritty trailer. The trailer introduces you to a group of friends who have to hide a murder. Birdie (Melissa Fumero) told Officer Joel (Matthew Davis), “My friends and I sort of murdered someone.” Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) provides the voiceover, “People are like the followers they plant. Some flowers are wild and without boundaries. We all may look perfect on the surface.”

This show reveals that nothing is what it seems. It also gives us major Desperate Housewives vibes. This series will explore the secrets that people keep from others. There’s more going on than just gardening and murder. Birdie thinks everyone hates her. Meanwhile, Catherine (Aja Naomi King—from ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder) thinks her life is falling apart because she’s cheating on her husband. Brett (Ben Rappaport) can’t help but wonder why his ex left him for someone else.

Premiere Date Revealed

News about the new series first came out last year. Viewers were intrigued that Peacock would add another soapy drama to its streaming service. Finally, the premiere date has been revealed. Grosse Pointe Garden Society officially drops on Sunday, February 23, at 10 p.m. EST, and new episodes will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.

The show won’t immediately reveal who will be murdered, but their identity won’t be a secret for long. Meanwhile, the friend group has trouble welcoming the newcomer, Birdie. They’re afraid that she will eventually turn them in. However, Birdie wants to help the group bury their secrets, literally and figuratively. This hour-long dramedy evokes our favorite daytime and primetime soaps, which offer drama, suspense, and complicated relationships.
