Good Witch Cast Reacts To Revival Rumors

This was a Christmas treat for Hallmark Channel fans. Four The Good Witch cast members reunited at Christmas Con in New Jersey in December 2024. Catherine Bell, Catherine Disher, James Denton, and Sarah Power addressed the revival rumors that have been swirling around.

What Happened?

In July 2021, Hallmark Channel canceled the series despite its popularity. A year later, Variety reported that The Good Witch could return at some point. Since then, getting a revival back on the network has been a push and pull. Hallmark Media then shared they were done with this story.

During the 2024 Christmas Con panel, Bell admitted that she missed filming the show. She felt that the ending was abrupt. “I think we were all a bit surprised that it ended. It seemed to end a little bit sooner than I think everyone wanted. Certainly, from what you guys were telling us as well,” Bell explained, per Entertainment Now.

The conversation shifted to bringing back the show. All four cast members are on board with the idea. They also addressed the rumor that a new movie could be in the works. “We have not given up trying to get a movie made,” Bell said. We’re working on it. We’re all in.”

Movie Rumors

Denton shared similar sentiments. He admitted that it hasn’t been “easy.” They just want to show up. However, the network hasn’t moved forward with a revival series or movie. In September 2021, a network representative told Heavy that there were no plans for a movie.

“We have no immediate plans for another ‘Good Witch’ movie. That said, Catherine Bell, James Denton, and Katherine Barrell, among others, are members of the Hallmark Channel family, and we are in discussions on future projects,” Hallmark Media’s representative said at the time.

Meanwhile, two different endings were filmed for the show. The network managed to air a series finale with no cliffhangers or plot holes. It wrapped up the series nicely for the viewers.
