Carrie Ann Inaba shared a personal post on Instagram. The Dancing with the Stars judge revealed that she’s making a big change for 2025.

New Year’s Resolution

Inaba posted black-and-white photos of herself with her loved ones. She shared who she considers family these days. The former professional dancer showed a different side of herself. She wasn’t all glammed up with her hair and makeup done. Inaba looked beautiful in her comfiest pair of sweats. She hung out at home with her family and their fur babies.

“Family. Sometimes, it doesn’t look like what we thought it was supposed to look like… it’s better,” Inaba started her post.

She explained who she calls “family” these days. “My mom, my spiritual daughter, and my babies. Peanut, Lola, and Buddy. Sophie, Reb, and my brother are not here but are in my heart,” Inaba explained. In that same caption, she revealed her 2025 New Year’s Resolution. She’s not going to post as much on social media, even when she returns to Season 34 of DWTS later this year.

“I’m no longer interested in trying to impress people. Or keep up, or chase this social media bulletin train that is as fickle as I was when I was a 7th grader,” Inaba continued. “I’ll post when I want, what I want, and there will probably be no match to the algorithm.”

Inaba doesn’t want to post daily. She wants to spend more moments like this with her family. She’s enjoying these “simple moments,” which include “sharing love, dreams, and puppy kisses.” Inaba called 2025 her “year of authentic and unpolished life, love, and creativity.”

Inspiring DWTS Fans

Fans were touched by Inaba’s inspirational post. Many thanked her for reminding them of what matters most, and other fans shared birthday messages. Inaba had just celebrated her 57th birthday on Sunday, January 5th.

“Happy New Year and happy birthday, my friend! May 2025 bring you nothing but happiness. Love ya lots, ❤” one user wrote. “I’m with you. I do not have to post on the internet to know my life is worthy,” another user agreed.
