Sunday’s NCIS: Los Angeles episode called Plain Sight centered around a charity party where all participants were encouraged to try out their guns of choice by shooting down clay pigeons.
Sounds strange, especially given the setting: A grand mansion equipped with a lush backyard decked out in a row of shooting range stations.
Mosely (Nia Long) had been invited to this odd soiree, which was great since this allowed Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) to gain entrance as her bodyguards.
The NCIS partners were there to suss out who killed some gunrunners and innocent parties in order to gain a truck full of military weapons worth a cool million. Sadly, Byron Brown, an old friend of Sam’s, seemed to be on the wrong side of this case–but why?
It seems Brown’s family was being held hostage so that he would do the main deed on the premises: assassinate a major player of this charity event.
The event, hosted by a weapons supply company owned by wealthy Charles Livingston and William Bradford, turned into a race to stop the assassination. Sadly, the intended dead person was Bradford.
So, who wanted Bradford dead? Best friend Charles Livingston, NCIS presumed. Wrong! It was Sasha (Rebecca Wisocky), Charles’ wife, for whom Byron had worked in Western Sahara.
All of Sasha’s efforts were for her love of money, but were punished by losing the lifestyle she cherished so much that she was willing to kill to keep it.
Again, Hetty (Linda Hunt) was missing from this episode but Eric was able to find her boat, abandoned in tropical Kauai. And the mystery continues…
NCIS: Los Angeles airs on CBS on Sundays at 9 p.m.
