Fans of the hit NBC show Manifest must wait until 2021 before finding out any new answers about what really happened to Ben (Josh Dallas), Saanvi (Parveen Kaur), and the rest of the travelers who returned to New York four years after their flight was supposed to land — having not aged a bit!
Manifest Season 3 Spoilers
But thankfully, the Manifest account on Instagram is helping to tide people over with some spoilers on what to expect when the show finally does return.
The video begins with Manifest show-runner Jeff Rake wishing people a Happy 828 Day. Fans of the show know the significance of the number — it’s the flight number of the Montego Air flight that carried the heroes from the show apparently across time.
His first spoiler involves the part of the original plane that was discovered in the sea at the end of Season 2.
“Ben and Saanvi do a deep dive on the Montego Air tailfin that was recovered,” Rake revealed.
Other spoilers included news that a long-lost character will make a shocking reappearance (might a certain pilot return from his second mysterious flight?); a new love interest will be in the cards for Jared (J.R. Ramirez); and a passenger, who we never saw before, will be introduced in the season premiere and become integral to the season-long story.
“Season 3 picks up about two months after the Season 2 finale,” Rake said. “We’ll finally get to know someone from Grace’s (Athena Karkaris) side of the family and let the fireworks begin.”
Additionally, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Zeke (Matt Long) move in together with an unexpected third party, and it’s teased that not all passengers are motivated to use the callings for good.
The showrunner also went on to debunk two theories making its way around the net. The Major is not Michaela from the future despite the similarities between them, and what’s happening is not a computer simulation or any type of Matrix-like universe.
