The recent college bribery scandal has not been easy for Olivia Giannulli and Bella Giannulli, the daughters of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli.
Both Loughlin and Giannulli were arrested and released on a $1 million bond after reportedly paying $500,000 to ensure both their kids would be accepted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, though neither child rows crew.
The scandal has not only affected both Bella and Olivia’s current work, it has also affected their relationship with their parents.
“Bella and Olivia are suffering in their own ways from the fallout of their parents’ decisions,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
“Bella and Olivia have a very tight knit group of friends who have been there to support them. They’ve needed that support because they’re being attacked at every turn.”
Though Olivia wasn’t as invested in her schooling, Bella, who is 20 years old, “was far more invested in college and would loved to have completed USC.”
Olivia, on the other hand, is “really angry with her parents because she told them she did not want to go to college and she was pushed.”
Olivia is a very popular influencer and has a very successful YouTube channel with almost two million subscribers.
Since the scandal broke, the 19-year-old has been dropped by two major sponsors, TRESemme and Sephora.
“She has been passionate about her career and wanted to work and was doing well but that wasn’t enough,” the source explained.
“Her parents said she would have to juggle college and her career. Now she’s devastated because everything she built implode before her eyes.”
The source continued, “She feels they ruined everything.”
