Lori Loughlin, Husband Could Face Minimum 2-Year Prison Sentence

It’s not looking good for Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli. Just one day after Felicity Huffman plead guilty in the college bribery scandal, it sounds like the Full House actress and her husband are in a worse position.

According to TMZ, the couple faces a two-year minimum sentence for allegedly paying $500,000 to get their two daughters, Bella and Olivia, into the University of Southern California. Sources say that all the parents have been offered plea deals, but each deal has prison time attached.

Huffman and 12 other parents entered in plea deals on Monday, April 8, while the other 37 parents — including Loughlin and Giannulli — are waiting. Because Huffman only paid $15,000 for someone to take her daughter’s SAT, her plea will reportedly only have four months of prison time attached.

But, because Loughlin and Giannulli paid a bigger sum of money to bribe the crew coaches at USC, their minimum prison sentence will supposedly be around two years. Not to mention, if the parents don’t reach a plea deal quickly, they may face a Federal Grand Jury who could add charges, including money laundering.

Though Loughlin has not commented regarding the scandal just yet, Huffman broke her silence yesterday when she released a statement after pleading guilty.

“I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I am done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions,” she said in a statement.

“I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty.”
