Lori Loughlin Faces Second Indictment, Possibly More Jail Time

It’s getting even worse for Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli. After already being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, the Fuller House actress has now been charged with a second indictment that just came down.

Loughlin and her husband are two of the 16 parents who now face these additional charges and could possibly face even more jail time. A press release, announced on Tuesday, April 9, laid it all out.

“Sixteen parents involved in the college admissions scandal were charged today in Boston in a second superseding indictment with conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering in connection with a scheme to use bribery to cheat on college entrance exams and to facilitate their children’s admission to selective colleges and universities as purported athletic recruits.”

“The second superseding indictment also charges the defendants with conspiring to launder the bribes and other payments in furtherance of the fraud by funneling them through Singer’s purported charity and his for-profit corporation, as well as by transferring money into the United States, from outside the United States, for the purpose of promoting the fraud scheme.”

Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 so that their two daughters, Bella and Olivia, would be accepted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team.

No arraignment date has been scheduled for this new charge, but it does not look good for Loughlin as she already faced a minimum of two years jail time for the first charge.

In fact, according to TMZ, prosecutors will probably recommend a range of 4 to 5 years in prison.
