On Law & Order: SVU, we have had to say goodbye to some beloved characters over the years, but every once in a while, they find their way back to the show, even if just for an episode or two.

Munch Makes Everything Better

In this flashback video, John Munch returns and looks over Olivia Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) son, Noah, while she’s busy with work. When Olivia returns to the apartment, Munch reveals he’s glad he left SVU when he did.

“I was worried when I left that I’d fall apart without the job or the place would fall apart without me,” Munch (Richard Belzer) tells his dear friend and former SVU colleague. “Well, I was too,” Benson responds.
