Law & Order: SVU Benson and Emilia
Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) tries to not bring her work home with her on Law & Order: SVU, but she’ll do whatever needs to be done in order to help the victims she comes across.
In this flashback video, Benson invites a teenage girl named Emilia (Anna Van Patten) over after she reveals her father sexually abused her. Though Benson wants to support Emilia, she believes she’s been brainwashed into believing her father abused her.
“So, Emilia, I need you to tell me, again, exactly what your father did to you,” Benson asks her after she gets settled on the couch. “I need you to trust me and after this, I promise you I’m not going to bother you again.”
Emilia says she believes her father abused her, but Benson knows the story doesn’t quite add up. “I know you believe that that really happened, Emilia, but I think that you were brainwashed,” she says. Watch the clip above to see how Emilia reacts and find out who really hurt her.
