Law & Order: SVU Video – Benson Believes Victim’s Been Brainwashed

Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) tries to not bring her work home with her on Law & Order: SVU, but she’ll do whatever needs to be done in order to help the victims she comes across.

Comforting The Victim

In this flashback video, Benson invites a teenage girl named Emilia (Anna Van Patten) over after she reveals her father sexually abused her. Though Benson wants to support Emilia, she believes she’s been brainwashed into believing her father abused her.

“So, Emilia, I need you to tell me, again, exactly what your father did to you,” Benson asks her after she gets settled on the couch. “I need you to trust me and after this, I promise you I’m not going to bother you again.”

Revealing The Truth
