Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) went through hell and back during her long road to adopting her young son, Noah, but they sure do make one great family on Law & Order: SVU.
However, in this deleted scene from this week’s episode, Benson opens up to Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) about having a pregnancy scare back in college and never having a biological child.
“I was 19 years old and I really wanted to do something important with my life…so I decided to make an appointment at the clinic and then I spent the next few days agonizing. I didn’t eat, I didn’t sleep, just wondering was I making a decision I would forever regret,” Benson shared.
But, on the way to the clinic, she ended up getting her period and not being pregnant after all. Though she couldn’t imagine life without Noah, Benson does sometimes wonder what it would be like if she did have a biological child.
“So you know, do I ever regret never having a biological child, even now? Sometimes, if I allow myself to wonder,” she shared. Watch the emotional clip above.
