It looks like Lady Gaga and Madonna have officially buried the hatchet! The two pop stars posed together for a photo following the 2019 Oscars and it looks like they’re now BFFs.
In fact, not only was Gaga invited to Madonna’s after-party on Sunday, February 24, but the 60-year-old shared a photo of the pair to her Instagram page.
“Don’t Mess with Italian Girls @ladygaga #winner #starisborn #oscar #theparty,” Madonna captioned the photo.
A number of celebrities liked the post, including Ariana Grande and Katy Perry.
Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen even reposted the photo on his own Instagram Stories with the caption, “Peace in the Middle East.”
The drama between Gaga and Madonna started a number of years ago after the pop icons seemed jealous of one another’s success.
Gaga was accused of copying Madonna’s style and inspiration when she first entered the music industry back in 2008.
Despite the drama of years past, it’s nice to see these two makeup!
A number of fans on social media responded to the iconic photo and seemed happy to see two pop icons together.
“A historic pop culture moment right here – Madonna and Lady Gaga come together on #Oscars night. This makes me so happy!” one person tweeted.
“Madonna realizing she shouldn’t compete with Lady Gaga anymore so she finally makes peace and we finally see a piece of heaven,” another fan wrote.
Somebody else added, “Madonna and Lady Gaga coming together on Oscars night makes me so happy. Two of the worlds most talented women who I love and respect, embracing and supporting each other. I’m here for it.”
