Kevin McKidd Celebrates Grey’s Anatomy Wrap In Hawaii

The shooting schedule for a show like Grey’s Anatomy can be incredibly grueling for an actor. But for Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, it’s even more so because he’s not just an actor on the show — he also directs episodes of the long-running hit ABC series.

So it’s not surprising the actor would want to go big in his attempt to unwind and that’s exactly what he did once the show wrapped its latest season. He packed up his family and headed off to Hawaii to recharge his batteries.

In some of the pictures that he posted to Instagram, the actor showed off his adorable son, Aiden, who was born back on Mother’s Day evening last year and is the first child he’s had with second wife, Arielle Goldrath. The actor already has two teens from his first marriage, Joseph and Iona.

As for Owen, he’s had quite a year on Grey’s Anatomy — finally getting to be a father like he has dreamed of since that desire torpedoed his relationship with Cristina (Sandra Oh) early in McKidd’s run on the show. Owen has enjoyed being a foster dad but now, thanks to Teddy (Kim Raver), he will be having his first biological child.

Will that cause these two to finally unite after all these years of being just pals, as Amelia suspects? Or is Amelia the one he truly loves and will make a life with? Chances are that the end of the season won’t be answering these questions (and if it does, it probably won’t last). Luckily, fans have another season of Grey’s Anatomy to look forward to in the fall.
