Kaley Cuoco fans haven’t had to say goodbye to the actress since her hit sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, went off the air last year. The actress hosts video chats with her followers on Instagram and the latest tale she shared has some real heat to it.
She produced her video Rome, where she was wrapping up a recent shoot and said she was looking forward to going home. She is playing the part of Cassie in the upcoming series The Flight Attendant, and she experienced an encounter that happened to her but it felt like something that would have happened to her new character!
Before getting into the details of her situation, she prefaced her story by saying that she and everyone else are okay. Cuco and some pals and co-stars were out enjoying the Rome nightlife at some local establishments, and while in one of them, Cuoco says, she started to smell what she thought was toast burning. Then, a man came over to her and furiously began patting her down while others were yelling “Fuoco.”
“My narcissistic brain thinks [he’s saying], ‘Cuoco,'” the actress confessed, “Yes, I’m Miss Cuoco. Do you want a picture? I’m literally thinking they’re saying ‘Cuoco!’ ‘Cuoco!’…Well, they’re saying, ‘Fuoco…’ which means fire.” It turns out a nearby candelabra had led to Cuoco’s gorgeous locks getting caught on fire!
Cuoco says she didn’t know what was going on, which was probably a good thing. A helpful patron extinguished the flames (fortunately, Cuoco had no product in her hair, which could have made the fire worse!) “I bought him a drink later,” Cuoco deadpanned.
The actress adds that co-star Colin Woodell joked, “Your hair is like another character in this [project]. I don’t know how we could have recast!”
Cuoco put the best spin on the situation, thankful that she (and her hair and her new Gucci jacket) emerged unscathed, noting it was a bonding moment for her and the rest of the cast who got to see her, in her words, “lit up.” Cuoco has but one regret related to this incident and that is she doesn’t have a video of it transpiring!
While she put a comic spin on her inferno ordeal, Cuoco’s new series, set to debut on HBO Max, The Flight Attendant is a drama! Cuoco plays flight attendant Cassandra Bowden, who wakes up in a Dubai hotel room next to a dead body. When she returns to New York, FBI agents have questions for her, leading Cassandra to wonder if she is indeed a killer.
