The Big Bang Theory hasn’t filmed their series finale just yet, but it’s safe to say it’s going to be a very emotional experience for the entire cast. After 12 seasons of being together, the cast of the CBS show will be forced to say goodbye as the show is officially ending.
Kaley Cuoco, who is best known for playing Penny on the show, opened up about the last episode on E!’s Daily Pop on Thursday, March 21.
“I’m glad we’re going out with a bang. I hate saying that, but it’s kinda true. We wanted to go out on top,” she shared.
Because they know they’re going to be emotional while filming the last episode, they are planning on shooting it without an audience.
“We’re actually going to pre-shoot the whole thing, so we’ll have shot it, and then we will have an audience taping,” she explained.
“That was probably because they knew I’d be crying the entire time.”
She continued, “So we still want the audience experience…so we’re gonna still do the audience, but we will have taped it and shot it beforehand, so if the tears come unexpectedly, then that’s just what’s going to happen, because I guarantee you it’s going to happen.”
And, though she wanted to take the famed couch home, Cuoco believes the Batman cookie jar is the biggest item from set.
“I think that might be going to the Smithsonian; I’m not making that up. I want the alcohol in the fridge, because who’s gonna drink that?” she spilled.
