Jeremy Bulloch, Actor Beloved As Boba Fett In Star Wars, Dead At 75

Star Wars actor Jeremy Bulloch, who played the iconic character of Boba Fett in some of the franchise’s films, has died. Bulloch was 75.

TMZ reports that Bulloch’s death was announced by actor Daniel Logan, who played young Boba Fett in Attack of The Clones.

Bulloch’s bounty hunter character was seen in the original Star Wars trilogy. As was the case with Darth Vader, whose portrayer David Prowse passed away just a few weeks ago on November 28, different actors played the physical role and did the voice. Bulloch did not voice Boba Fett.

Bulloch did make a few cameos in the Star Wars films sans Boba’s mask. He played Captain Jeremoch in Revenge of the Sith and Lieutenant Sheckill in The Empire Strikes Back. Over the decades, Bulloch attended numerous Star Wars fan gatherings around the world, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Born in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England, Bulloch was one of six children. He expressed an interest in acting and performing at an early age after appearing in a school show. He began acting professionally at a young age appearing in a breakfast cereal commercial at the age of 12.

He trained at the Corona Stage Academy. The actor’s first regular TV series role was in 1960, appearing as Terry Benson in Counter-Attack. His other credits include Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School, Robin Hood, Doctor Who, The Newcomers, Faith, Sloggers, and Starhyke.

In addition to Star Wars, Bulloch also is part of the James Bond world, having played the character Smithers in the 1983 Bond flick, Octopussy, which starred Roger Moore as 007 and Maud Adams in the title role. One of Bulloch’s final credits was in 2015 in the film Bulloch Fett. The short film told the story of young boy (Chris Brown) who played with a Boba Fett action figure.

Bulloch resided in London after retiring. He is survived by his wife, Maureen, and their three sons. Entertainment Hub sends condolences to Bulloch’s family at this difficult time.
