With the season (hopefully!) finale airing tonight of BH90210, it’s easy to understand why Jennie Garth is feeling a tad sentimental. The actress, who of course starred in both the original Beverly Hills, 90210 and the new series, got emotional reflecting on what the show’s meant to her.
Garth also revealed how much fun it’s been for the whole cast to come back together again so many years later and get to show a different side of themselves than they did all those years ago.
“This show has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember (I was 16 when we started filming the OG) but being able to be back with this family and work together to bring this new, inventive, funny version to the world has been INCREDIBLE,” she wrote — alongside the promo video for the finale.
The show’s not only been great for everyone’s careers, but it’s also been wonderful for fans to have their favorite nostalgic characters back in their lives. And, though the loss of former co-star Luke Perry was devastating to the group, they were able to come together and mourn his loss as a family.
“But that we were able to all come together to grieve and mourn and start to heal with one another, is somehow a gift he gave us…and I feel he is watching over us, arms crossed, glasses hung around his neck, grinning from ear to ear… brimming with pride and love for each and everyone of us,” Garth shared.
The actress went on to thank all the fans who’ve tuned in each and every week, the entire cast — which includes Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Jason Priestly, and Brian Austin Green — and her family for their support.
“And last but not least my hubby @dirvla and family and friends for all of your love and support! Now go get together with some people you love and watch the show…big love-Jennie.”
