ICE Arrests Kendall Jenner’s Stalker, Prevents ‘Tragedy’

 Comments

Crisis averted for Kendall Jenner. Her reported stalker has been arrested by ICE but while it looks like all’s well that ends well, it could have had a very different outcome.

According to TMZ, the police has been looking out for John Ford for weeks. Not only has he previously shown up to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians home before, he got into her swimming pool back in October.

Ford, who is 38 years old, is a Canadian citizen and was in the United States illegally when he was arrested on Monday, March 25 in New Mexico.

“This timely arrest could very well have prevented a violent crime. Our special agents acted quickly on this tip to ensure that this obsessive behavior didn’t escalate to become a tragedy,” an ICE agent shared.

He is now in ICE custody in El Paso, Texas.

The Kardashian-Jenner family also shared a statement following his arrest and thanked the police and ICE agents for arresting Ford.

“We are extremely appreciative of the hard work by the Los Angeles Police Dept. and ICE, whose swift response and professionalism led to this man’s apprehension,” the family said in a statement.

“His actions have not only had a severe impact on Kendall’s life, but the entire family’s sense of security, causing us to fear for Kendall’s safety as well as our own. Knowing this individual is in custody gives us peace of mind.”

Stalkers have been a horrible price of fame for many in the public eye, with actress Rebecca Schaeffer of My Sister Sam fame having paid the ultimate price when hers tracked her down and killed her back in 1989.

Obviously, this is something Hollywood and the police take very seriously as they should. Meanwhile, many people, not just the rich and famous, continue to have to deal with it on a daily basis.
