Hollywood Legend Clark Gable’s Grandson Dead At Age 30

Tragedy continues to be a thread that binds generations in Clark Gable’s family, and now comes word that his grandson, Clark Gable III, also an actor, has been found dead. He was only 30 years old.

The young man’s mother, Tracy Yarro Scheff, announced on her Instagram account the sad news of her son’s passing, along with a beautiful picture of him with his infant son.

“It’s is with an extremely heavy heart we say goodbye to my beautiful son Clark. He passed this morning. I will always be next to you my beautiful son. Mom”

There were a few more details on TMZ, including that he was found in bed unresponsive by his fiancée Friday morning. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital in Texas. No prior health conditions are known and the cause of death is unclear.

TMZ learned he had been in Dallas filming. According to the IMDB, he was currently filming Sunset at Dawn, but it is unclear if that indeed was the movie he was shooting. If so, his father was also in the cast.

Gable had started as a model at the tender age of 5. He had modeled for many designers including Prada, Chrome Hearts, Disney, and Converse “Classics” campaign. He switched to acting and appeared in Ordinary Madness and Looking for Clarissa but he is probably best known as the host of two seasons of Cheaters.

His last Instagram post, dated January 9, showed that he had been off social media for a little while, but he put up pictures of his adorable daughter as well as one of himself.

His family is no stranger to tragedy. His great grandmother also died young, when his grandfather was only 7-months-old. His grandfather, of course, died at only age 59 while his third wife, Carole Lombard, died tragically at age 33 (along with her mother) in a plane crash.

A few months after his grandfather’s death, his grandmother, Kay Williams, gave birth to his father, John Clark Gable, who survives him, along with his mother, his sister Kayley, his fiancée and his daughter, Shore, who turned 1 last September.
