Hannah Godwin and Tayshia Adams were both blindsided during last night’s episode of The Bachelor when Colton Underwood suddenly decided to send both of them home.
After Cassie Randolph decided to suddenly leave the show, Underwood decided he didn’t want to continue the show with anybody but her.
“I thought it was us the entire time. I valued our relationship so much and I didn’t even get the chance to even have another date with him,” Godwin told People.
“He gave everybody else that chance and I thought, why not me?’”
Not to mention, Godwin’s family actually believed she was going to get engaged.
“My family thought I was engaged until I told them. It was really hard to tell them what had happened. I was in denial for a long time,” she explained.
As for Adams, it also took her awhile to fully process the fact that she had been sent home.
“It was a lot to take in. I didn’t know what went wrong. I was really hurt. I invested a lot of time and heart into that relationship,” she explained.
“It didn’t hit me right away. I didn’t really hang out with anyone for two to three weeks. Watching the show was fine, until the last couple episodes. I couldn’t even watch the last one.”
Despite the fact they were both dumped, they are ready to move on and start a new chapter in their lives.
“I just wanted to make sure he was happy. His heart was always my priority,” Adams shared.
“I felt really empowered being able to talk to him about a moment that I had been holding onto for months,” Godwin added.
“There are still some open wounds. But I don’t want to be bitter anymore. And I’m ready to live in the present again.”
