Game of Thrones may be over (though stay tuned for the prequels!), but fans of the show are still interested in the lives of the actors who brought the GOT characters to life. Now comes word that one couple who met and fell in love on the epic show has welcomed a new addition.
Rose Leslie (Ygritte) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) are new parents. The family of three was photographed while doing errands in London with a newborn baby tied to mom’s chest. The news was first reported by New York Post’s Page Six.
E! News quoted a representative for the couple as saying the parents have welcomed a baby boy and are “very, very happy.”
Buzz about the two actors becoming parents began last September when Leslie was spotted as having a baby bump for the United Kingdom’s Make Magazine.
What’s coming up next for the actors? (In addition to doing diaper duty!) After playing Maia Rindell on The Good Fight from 2017-2019, Rose Leslie will appear as Louise in Death on the Nile, which has Hercule Poirot (played by Kenneth Branagh) trying to solve a murder.
Meanwhile, Harington is going to be taking on another pop culture role — he’ll be playing Dane Whitman (AKA The Black Knight) in the Marvel movie The Eternals.
The couple met when they were paired together in a storyline on the super popular HBO show. Jon and Ygritte, in true dramatic fashion, were from opposing sides — the Night’s Watch and the Free Folk.
During a battle in Season 4, Ygritte was killed after Olly shot her through the chest with an arrow. Jon tried to reassure his love that someday they’d go back to their cave. Alas, it was not meant to be. “You know nothing, Jon Snow,” said Ygritte, who died in his arms. Entertainment Hub congratulates Rose Leslie and Kit Harington on their new bundle of blue.
