Game of Thrones Star Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s Baby Has Arrived

Game of Thrones fans watched Sophie Turner grow up before their eyes as Sansa, the eventual Queen of the North of House Stark between 2011 to 2019, and were thrilled when she found love in real life with Joe Jonas of the group the Jonas Brothers. The two married after three years of dating on May 1, 2019, and now they have welcomed their first child.

According to TMZ, the baby arrived on Wednesday, July 22, in Los Angeles and she has been named Willa.

The two married last year after the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas in which Joe performed with his brothers. Fans were actually able to watch the ceremony as it was streamed on DJ Diplo’s Instagram feed. An Elvis impersonator officiated the ceremony, which was held at the Chapel L’Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel.

In addition to the fame she gained as Sansa on the wildly popular HBO show, Turner has also appeared in the legendary X-Men franchise as Jean Grey/Phoenix, even headlining her own film — X-Men: Dark Phoenix. She also played Maddie in the 2019 film, Heavy, a revenge thriller that’s set in New York and centered on a crazy couple living it up in the high-end drug scene.

The last project she completed is from writer/director Matthew Coppola, Broken Soldier, about a war veteran who is suffering from PTSD and befriends a teenaged girl. It also stars Ray Liotta.

But it was her breakout role as Sansa Stark that garnered her international attention. The oldest daughter of Ned Stark, Sansa was a selfish little girl who had big dreams of escaping life in the north to become a princess but the reality of it all turned out to be a nightmare. Over the eight seasons, Sansa learned a great deal and became a beloved leader.
